Hoosier Park Racing & Casino is the first casino in the state of Indiana to offer the skill-enhanced Texas Tea Pinball game, one of IGT’s newest slot products on the market. This popular game has attracted a host of fans across the world in recent weeks, and is now available at Hoosier Park in Anderson, Ind.
The introduction of skill-based games in Indiana was a combined effort between Hoosier Park’s Vice President of Operations Todd Berendji, Vice President of IT Gene Ciscell, Director of Marketing Partnerships Tony Renz, and IGT.
“We’re excited to be the first casino in Indiana to present Texas Tea Pinball, one of IGT’s new skill-enhanced bonus slots,” said Berendji. “We appreciate the support of the Indiana Gaming Commission for their assistance in bringing skill-based gaming to our customers in Indiana. This game creates a lot of fun and excitement, and it’s extremely popular with our guests. We’re thrilled to add this energizing new game to our casino floor.”
IGT’s Texas Tea theme combines the best of nostalgic pinball action with a mix of classic video game features, and gives the player a choice of free game bonus or skill-based bonus where a player’s pinball skill influences the reward.
The theme of the game revolves around the proprietors of Texas oil fields. The exceptional images and sound effects take the player through “life in the oil fields” for a one-of-a-kind gaming experience. And, Texas Tea Pinball includes the beloved character “Texas Ted” for an all-around entertaining time.
Visually stimulating with refreshed sound and 3D graphics, playing Texas Tea is enjoyable and exciting. The game is designed for players to experience hassle-free gaming with the added bonus of skill-based payouts, which can increase with improved play to achieve bigger prizes.
While awaiting approval for skill-enhanced gaming over the past year, Hoosier Park introduced the pinball bonus game from the Texas Tea Pinball electronic game at Lucas Oil Stadium during Indianapolis Colts home football games. Stadium guests 21 and over were able to test their ability while playing for fun prizes like casino buffet passes, free slot play, or free dining credits.
“Having the opportunity to promote Texas Tea Pinball in a sporting atmosphere provided a terrific opportunity to market to new gamers and introduce something fresh and exciting to the millennial generation,” said Renz. “The Colts crowd really enjoyed playing on the big screens. There were cheers when a player made a great save, and an occasional awe when the ball didn’t make it through the flippers. It was great fun, and we’re happy to have the game on our casino floor. It’s a big hit with our guests.”
