EMT Training Class Begins Dec. 21

St.Vincent Anderson Regional is accepting registrations for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class that will begin Dec. 21. The EMT training class will meet two nights each week from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Pendleton Fire Department.

The $900 fee includes CPR training, the textbook and other class materials. Following successful completion of the course, program graduates are eligible to take the State of Indiana Certification Examination and the National EMT Registry Examination. Application for the state certification is dependent upon passing this examination. This course is required to be a paramedic. Class size is limited.

To be considered for the program, applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. All students must read, write, and speak English fluently. Other requirements include documentation of a negative TB test within the past 6 months, proof of Hep B vaccine and this year’s flu vaccine.
